Wind energy

Wind energy is the energy obtained from the wind, ie the kinetic energy made by the effect of air velocity, which is transformed into useful electrical energy for people. In Greek mythology wind energy was used to move boats powered by sail or operate mills to move their blades. The facilities and the production of electricity continue to rise. It is a very common because it is renewable, clean and helps reduce emissions of greenhouse gases affection changing power plants that run on fuel. This makes it a green energy. Everything that has a problem, its intermittency.
There are two types:

The offshore wind energy is the same as the onshore wind, kinetic energy produced by the wind. The difference with respect to the land on which turbines located offshore.

The mini wind energy is the use of wind resources using wind power less than 100 kW. It is the same as wind power but smaller.
This technology has a number of advantages:
It allows the supply of electricity in places away from the mains.
Generate energy in a distributed manner thus reducing transmission and distribution losses.
It produces electricity at the point of consumption, adapting to renewable resources and energy needs.

It can be combined with other energy sources.
